A tragic road accident claimed the life of a trader from Karwa town in the Mohammadi Khiri Assembly constituency. The incident occurred when the trader was hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle while walking on the road. He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Bareilly for treatment, where he passed away on Sunday.
As soon as the news reached the family, the atmosphere turned mournful. The tragedy is even more heartbreaking as the victim’s son and daughter were scheduled to get married in February, and wedding preparations were already underway at the house. In a matter of moments, celebrations turned into sorrow.
The deceased, identified as Narendra Verma, aged around 50, had stepped out early in the morning around 5 a.m. to collect milk from a nearby dairy, as part of his daily routine. During this time, a fast-moving vehicle struck him from behind, throwing him onto the road and causing severe injuries. Despite medical treatment in Bareilly, he could not survive.
The trader’s wife, Vandana, informed that their daughter Shivani and son Avneesh were both set to be married on February 24, and invitations were already being sent out to relatives and guests. The sudden accident has sparked discussions in the area, with people debating whether it was purely accidental or a planned act.
